What to Expect

If you are a nature lover, then this is the place to be. The pristine landscape, the number of wildflowers and insects on every square foot thriving in the habitat will surprise every visitor.
Agriculture is still traditional with land farmed on a small scale in the villages. People still work their plot of land and own few cattle around the house. With almost no insecticide used, one can say that here you can find some of the best-preserved medieval landscapes in Europe. It is as if time has stopped! Small villages with century old houses and churches, cattle returning to their barns at sunset, sheep scattered on the hills…Grass meadows, flowering from spring to autumn, a heaven of grazing cattle and a source of supply for bees.
