Discover Bucharest Incentive Tour 2023

Bucharest is a city of contrasts, with formidable tourist potential, growing from year to year.
Bucharest is Romania`s capital and largest city, as well as the most important industrial and commercial center of the country. Also, it is one of Europe’s most authentic capitals.

Peles Castle, situated 40 miles south of Brasov and 80 miles north from Bucharest. It is a masterpiece of German new-Renaissance architecture, considered by many ones of the most stunning castles in Europe. Commissioned by King Carol I in 1873 and finished in 1883, the castle served as the summer residence of the royal family until 1947. Its 160 rooms are adorned with the finest examples of European art, Murano crystal chandeliers, German stained-glass windows, and Cordoba leather-covered walls.

The Bran Castel, is where you will dicover the facts and myth of the fortreess also know as Dracula`s Castle.

Itinerary

Day 1Friday, Bucharest

  • Arrival at Henri Coanda International Airport, meet the guide and transfer to the city centre.
  • Panoramic tour including the Press House, the Arch of Triumph, continue with the impressive avenues Kiseleff and Victoria, stop in the Revolution Square to see the main buildings and hear their stories (the former Central Committee of the Communist party- the place where Ceausescu kept his last public speech in December 1989, Kretulescu Church, The Romanian Atheneum, the National Art Museum, The Central University Library).
  • Stop in front of the Palace of Parliament – the second largest administrative building in the world after Pentagon, now the headquarters of the Romanian Deputy Chamber and Senate.
  • After that, we stroll along the narrow streets of the old center (Lipscani district) surrounded by many pubs, restaurants and night clubs. Here you will identify some of the symbols like Stavropoleos Monastery (1724), Manuc’s Inn (Hanul lui Manuc), Carturesti Carusel bookstore.
  • You will get a comprehensive overview of 500 years of history from the era of Vlad the Impaler (also known as Dracula) to the “golden era” of communism and the Revolution from 1989 and unravel the stories of old and new Bucharest.
  • Check-in at hotel and dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2Saturday, Bucharest- Sinaia- Bran- Bucharest

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Full day tour to Prahova Valley to visit the two famous castles of the Carpathians.
  • First stop is in Sinaia, one of the main winter and summer mountain resorts in Romania, known as “the Pearl of the Carpathians”.
  • You will admire the Peles Castle – former residence of the royal Romanian family, built in the XIXth century by the 1st King of Romania, Carol I and the Monastery of Sinaia (founded in the 17th century by Mihai Cantacuzino – great Romanian dignitary upon his arrival from a journey to the Holy Land; the resort takes its name from the Sinai mountain). Continue to the village of Bran and visit the Bran Castle (XIVth century) which hosts an interesting museum of medieval art and history.
  • Thanks to the American film directors the castle is worldwide known as Dracula’s Castle.
  • Late in the afternoon return to Bucharest.
  • Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation at hotel.

Day 3Sunday, Bucharest- departure

  • Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the airport.

A guided tour to some of the main sightseeing spots in Bucharest: the Palace of Parliament (subject to confirmation), the open air Village Museum (recreating the past three centuries of the Romanian village), Primaverii Palace (the former summer residence of the Ceausescu couple, located in a very exclusive area of Bucharest), Cotroceni Palace, National Art Gallery (National Gallery & European Gallery).
  2. Treasure hunt in Bucharest old town.
  3. Relax and wellness at Therme Spa Bucharest (one of the biggest covered thermal parks in Europe).
  4. Fun cooking class for 3.5-4 hours.
  5. One day 4×4 Off-road tour close to Bucharest.
